FAQ

Below are some Frequently Asked Questions – If your questions aren’t answered here, please contact us at London Food Lovers Tours. We are happy to help!

A Food Tour is a tour that leads a group of people around an interesting area, stopping frequently at a variety of different locations to taste a number of different foods.

When you complete the online booking, you will be sent a confirmation email that has all of the tour details, including the location of the meeting point and how to get there.

Our Soho International Food Tour has 10 different tastings. It includes breakfast, lunch, and many snacks in between. We don’t recommend eating breakfast before the tour.

Absolutely! During the online booking process, each participant will be asked to tell us if they have any special food requirements or food allergies. If someone has a special food requirements or food allergy, we will do our best to substitute the food or drink tasting with something else, however we cannot guarantee that all 10 tastings can be substituted.

The tour is a 4.5 hour tour. Depending on the number of people in the group and how fast or slow the group goes, the tour can run a bit over or under the 4.5 hour time, however the duration is generally 4.5 hours.

Most of the roads are easy to walk on, and even though the tour is 4.5 hours, we sit down in a number of places, so that here is a balanced amount of walking and sitting. We ask that anyone in a wheelchair or difficulty walking give us advance notice, so that we can inform the tour guide.

We do not have access to wheelchairs, but if a participant is equipped with their own means of a wheelchair or motor chair, it is their decision to participate or not. Some of the shops we stop at are quite small, so it is not guaranteed that a wheelchair would fit into all of them.

Yes! Parents should know that the tour is 4.5 hours, but most of the roads are easy to walk on, and we sit down in a number of places, so that here is a balanced amount of walking and sitting. There is an ale-tasting and a wine-tasting, however we provide alternative drinks for children.

We understand that eating together is often one of the best ways to enjoy a social outing, and to capture that essence in each tour, our groups are always small and intimate. Some of the buildings we stop at are quite dated and can only accommodate small groups, so our group size will rarely be over 12 people.

There will be quite a few places where shopping is possible, but since we work with many restaurants, we must arrive at specific times, so we can’t spend too much time shopping. Your guide will indicate how much time you have for shopping where possible.

We do not provide transportation to or from the meeting point. We will provide full details to the meeting point upon booking. If you need any further help getting to the meeting point, feel free to contact us.

After the tour, your guide can help you get where you are going – just ask.

Absolutely! One of the tour creators is actually vegetarian and created the tour to be suitable for vegetarians as well. We can substitute any of the meat options for something vegetarian. During the online booking process, each participant will be asked to tell us if they have any special requirements. If someone is vegetarian, we will do our best to substitute the food or drink tasting with something else. We do ask that you please inform us of WHAT TYPE of vegetarian you are, and what you eat and don’t eat, so that we can find suitable alternatives for you.

Many of the stops on the tour have foods that are not suitable for a strict vegan, however we can try and substitute a number of the meat options for something vegetarian. During the online booking process, each participant will be asked to tell us if they have any special food requirements. If someone is vegan, we will do our best to substitute the food or drink tasting with something else, however we cannot guarantee that all 10 tastings can be substituted.

Absolutely NOT! Our Food Tour takes place in London, and there is always a possibility of rain. We do not cancel our food tours for rain or snow. We ask that participants dress appropriately and bring an umbrella – just in case!
